On Rambam Street

by Lillian Farzan-Kashani (Santa Monica, CA)

That’s where we fell in love

Clutching each other closer

Up until the very last moment

Beneath a blanket of stars in Herzliya

Our very own magic carpet ride

Insatiable no matter how much we embraced

Lit by the glow of the moon on the water

I saw it on his face

As he peered into my heart
